The stars will be right for a unique event of music, dancing, costumes, and the occasional summoning of dark Cthulian horrors man should never behold. But, observe it we shall, for this event shall be one for the ages! The Syrens of the South are both pleased and horrified to bring to you the next installment of their dance events, this time themed the Mechanical Masquerade: Dance of the Elder Gods.
This endeavor shall merge the subcultural styles of Jules Verne inspired Victoriana anachronistic style commonly called Steampunk, with the old gothic horror themes inspired by the works of H.P Lovecraft. Musical interludes shall be provided by the diabolical Doctor Q, a live acoustic set by the inter-dimensional Extraordinary Contraptions, dark entertainment by the temptress Talloolah Love, a costume contest for those dressed for dread, and all hosted by the charismatic Katherine Lashe, whose birthday shall be celebrated upon the stroke of midnight followed by the unveiling of the most terrific of horrors.
Merchants of the darkest of arts shall be therein including AnachroCon, Kyoto Song Designs, Mercy22 Designs, Penny Dreadful Productions, PH Factor, and Throne Jewelry. Do come, do peruse, and do not be afraid, for an escape from the reality of today so we can all worry about it tomorrow! Heed the Syren’s Call my friends for: “If I am mad, it is mercy! May the gods pity the man who in his callousness can remain sane to the hideous end!” Be dressed as if this shall be the last of your days, for it may very well be!
